To become a licensed lash artist in Texas, you’ll need to show off your skills on paper and in person! Here’s what’s in store:
Written Exam: This test covers all the essentials—sanitation and safety protocols, Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation (TDLR) rules, and all the lash theory you learned in class. It’s your opportunity to prove you know the regulations and science behind the art.
Practical Exam: Ready to shine? The practical exam is a hands-on demonstration of your lash application abilities, client hygiene, and proper aftercare. You’ll be evaluated on your technique, safety, and professionalism—just like you’ll deliver to clients every day.
After you finish your coursework and submit your application, TDLR will send you step-by-step instructions to schedule both exams.
